BIO:

KSINE is electronic composer/instrumentalist Jeremy Kolosine.

After moving from London to the Miami area, he founded the early '80's electro-punk group FUTURISK (1979-1984) and put out two 7 inch vinyl releases.

In the '90's he was synth/guitar/vocalist for the postpunk trio The Influence UK, who released one cassette, and for the artrock group SHAKESPACE who released 3 CDs.

In the early 2000's, KSINE released a full length CD of solo electro-lounge songs and 3 instrumental ambient CDs.

From 2003 thru 2011 RECEPTORS created music & video using various 4 and 8 bit sound chips(using Gameboys, Ataris, NES, Commodore 64, and circuit-bending.) Receptors performed at NYC's legendary Blip Fest, CMJ and Bent Festivals, showcased at Austin, Texas' SXSW Festival and Iceland's Airwaves Fest, and in 2007 Jeremy Kolosine performed the first ever circuit-bent performance with a full symphony orchestra (The Roanoke Symphony). Receptors released a 7" vinyl split EP with side project Mommy Was an Asteroid (MWA) in 2005, and in 2007 MWA released a 10 track gameboy album on Germany's Retinascan label.

Also in 2007, 8-BIT OPERATORS - The Music of Kraftwerk , a various artists project spearheaded by Jeremy Kolosine, was released on KRAFTWERK's U.S. home label, Astralwerks. (Check out the Receptors interview on National Public Radio).

That same year, The DFA's James Murphy commissioned Receptors to produce a set of unique Real ringtones for LCD Soundsystem's "Sound Of Silver" album release. The ringtunes , which are re-interpretations of all 9 tracks on the hit album, were arranged and created in 8-bit fashion on the gameboy synth.

In 2008 Receptors released 2 albums of tracks produced on the Nintendo DS, including the first full-length release by an artist on the Korg DS-10 titled "groKwork".

In 2009, Jeremy completed construction of "21st Century Retro-Futurists", an audio/video installation for The Taubman Museum, and joined the Blip Fest Europe / 8bitpeoples tour of Denmark and Poland (Era New Horizon Film Festival).

On 09/09/09 the Kolosine-curated 8-Bit Operators' "WANNA HLD YR HANDHELD" Beatles Tribute was released. Receptors closed out 2009 with the release of the USER Deluxe EP on the world-renowned 8bitpeoples chip-music label.

In 2010, the 30th Anniversary vinyl 12inch of Futurisk's PLAYER PIANO LP was released on Minimal Wave Records , and Receptors' final SLEEPER CD/DL was released on the Handheld Heroes label.

In 2011, Futurisk's " Lonely Streets Remixes" with remixed tracks by Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle,Chris & Cosey), Tom Furse (The Horrors), Prince Language (DFA, Editions Disco) and Complexxion from the UK.

On 12/12/2012 Receptors Music Inc released the 8-BIT OPERATORS' DEVO Tribute: Crack That Chip! conceived/ compiled by Kolosine.

In 2013, Jeremy Kolosine was added to Marty Thau's legendary Red Star Records roster (Suicide, Blondie, John Cale, The Ramones, Richard Hell.) Exclusive remixes of Futurisk and 8-Bit Operators were included on the "Variations" 2013 Red Star release.

2014 delivered the release of 8-Bit Operators' Depeche Mode Tribute, "Enjoy The Science" , which met with the approval and received some promo help from Depeche Mode themselves, and received great reviews, online and in print.

In 2020 the FUTURISK 40th Anniversary 7inch vinyl Box-set was released by Minimal Wave Records, consisting of 3 7inches and a flexi-disc.
